JUSTBLOCKS

Privacy Policy

JustBlocks for iOS and Android · Updated October 1, 2026

JustBlocks is a block puzzle game that works without an account. Your games and progress are saved on your device. An internet connection is used for advertising services and to view this page.

1. Publisher and contact

For questions about the app, privacy, or exercising your rights, contact the publisher of JustBlocks at nicowow2k7@gmail.com.

The support page explains the game controls and answers common questions. If you contact us by email, your address, message, and any attachments you choose to send are used to handle your request and follow-up. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information; these messages are separate from local game saves.

2. Your game data

The app stores the board, pieces, scores and best scores, missions, unlocked styles, sound and music preferences, and second-chance usage locally. This information lets you resume a game and retain your settings.

JustBlocks does not create a player account, sync games to a publisher-operated server, or include a player-progress analytics service. The game code does not send your board, missions, or scores to the publisher.

Local data stays on your device until the game replaces it or it is deleted. On iOS, you can erase it through Settings → General → iPhone Storage → JustBlocks → Delete App. “Offload App” keeps the data. On Android, use Settings → Apps → JustBlocks → Storage → Clear data; labels vary by device.

Copies may also be included in system-managed backups and device transfers, depending on your Apple or Google settings and your device. The Android version allows system backups of app data. These copies may restore progress after reinstalling the app or changing devices; manage them in the backup settings for your system or the relevant account.

3. Google AdMob ads

JustBlocks integrates Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). The ad placement is an optional video at the end of a game: a reward clears the bottom three rows and provides three single blocks, once per game. You can start a new game without watching an ad.

Android 1.0 (build 1) and iOS 1.0 (build 1), including TestFlight: ads remain disabled. The second-chance button is hidden; the app’s code does not start advertising consent requests, explicitly initialize the advertising SDK, or load ads. Development builds may use test ads; a test may still contact Google services.

iOS and Android starting with version 1.0 (build 2), including TestFlight on iOS: second-chance videos are enabled. At launch, the app asks UMP to update consent status and display a form if required. It then initializes the advertising SDK and preloads an ad only if your choices and consent status allow ad requests. Communication with Google may therefore occur before you tap the video button.

Android starting with version 1.0 (build 3): Google’s child ad protections and its most restrictive ad content rating (G) apply to every player, without collecting an age or date of birth. Personalization and remarketing are disabled. UMP also receives the protective setting and does not request standard advertising consent; its status update and permission to request ads remain necessary. This does not eliminate technical communication with Google. Android AdServices permissions for the advertising identifier, attribution, and advertising topics are also removed.

Depending on their configuration, Google services may process your IP address and approximate location derived from it, device or app identifiers, in-app interactions such as app launches and video views, performance information, and diagnostics. This data is used in particular to deliver and measure ads, prevent abuse, and keep the service operating.

JustBlocks is configured to request non-personalized ads and disable the publisher first-party ID. On iOS, the app does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization. On Android, permission to access the Android advertising ID is removed from the app manifest. A non-personalized ad does not mean no data is processed: certain identifiers may be used, for example, to limit how often ads repeat or to produce reports.

4. Your choices and the purposes of processing

Local storage provides the game and saves you use. For advertising-related processing that requires consent, the Google form presents the purposes, partners, and your options before permitted ad requests are made.

When this option is required, you can reopen the form under My collection → Ads and privacy → Privacy choices. There, you can change your choices, withdraw consent, or use the available options to object. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out on the basis of valid consent.

Refusing consent, an unavailable ad, or a lack of internet access does not prevent you from playing. The second chance may, however, become unavailable. Simply opening or using the game does not constitute consent to processing that requires it.

5. This page and its hosting

This page is hosted on Microsoft Azure Blob Storage, in the France Central region for this site. When you view it, your browser sends the hosting service the technical information needed for the request, including your IP address, the requested URL, and standard browser information.

The page contains no data-collection form, advertising, audience analytics tool, or resource loaded from a social network. The page itself does not set cookies. Microsoft’s technical operations are part of its hosting services; see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

6. Recipients, retention, and transfers

Game saves are stored locally and may be included in the system backups described above. Apple or Google may provide those backups depending on your settings. Google receives the information needed for its advertising and consent services when they are used. Microsoft is involved when you view this page. Any partners presented in the advertising form depend on the applicable Google configuration.

These providers’ retention periods vary depending on the data, purpose, and their obligations. Their policies linked above describe their retention criteria and deletion options. JustBlocks does not set a single retention period for the data they process in their own services.

Google and Microsoft operate international infrastructure; their processing may involve countries outside the European Economic Area. Their policies describe processing locations and applicable transfer safeguards. The publisher does not host a player database on this site.

7. Your rights

Depending on applicable regulations and the processing concerned, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data; restriction of processing; object to certain processing; and request portability of eligible data. You can also withdraw consent.

To contact the publisher about these rights, email nicowow2k7@gmail.com. Ways to contact Google and Microsoft about their processing are provided in their respective policies. For local game saves, the publisher has no remote copy to access or delete.

You can lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority, including the CNIL in France. The CNIL also explains your rights over your data (in French).

8. Changes to this policy

This page will be updated if the way the game or its services work changes, including changes to ad availability or operation. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Any new purpose requiring consent will be presented with an appropriate choice in the app.
